Pastor Chito

January 20th, 2009, A DAY TO REMEMBER

Yes today is a historic day for America. President Barack Obama was sworn in as the 44th President of the United States. Pastor Rick Warren prayed a truly anointed prayer as millions prayed with him for America all over the nation and the world. L.A. was like a ghost town as almost every eye was glued to their TV sets to see this historic moment on live TV. The last time I felt the significance of what I was watching was when Astronauts landed on the moon. The other one was 911. But today was truly a happy occasion and a chance for the nation to forget her woes and just celebrate newness.

We join with President Obama as we hope for change instead of focusing on our troubles. Fear truly paralyzes. It truly makes people wary about doing anything Wait and see doesn’t really account for anything much. We have to surge forward and keep on building and creating and designing. That is what separates the Winners from the losers, the accomplished versus the unaccomplished. No pain no gain! We will learn from our mistakes but make no mistake we will not just sit around doing nothing but we will venture forth continually.

Today is also a historic day in WIN LA. Right after the inauguration, we too inaugurated our NEW center by having our first Pastors meeting.

Curtains are slowly being hung one by one and it is looking more and more like an office and worship center with most of the equipment already in place except for the wire connections and the arrival of the Chairs.

The Pastors have met and there are now a lot of things that need to be done.

The move in went very well. My thanks to all of our Church members who made the move-in such a “moving” experience.

We look forward to the “Historic” first Worship Service in our 530 Benton Way LA CA 90057 address at 9:30 AM. Hope to see you there!
